debian website, they don't seem to be present in the bugs database, which
in my case led to a frustrating evening when I checked the bugs database

which failed, because it expected /cdrom/ to be mounted. I guess this is
pretty confusing to the new user, especially since at that point fstab is
not set up. mounting it by hand

since i was able to work-around the problem with the
netinst daily build used, i went back to beta3 d-i and
installed from scratch on the same system, following
the walkthrough i logged earlier, except i skipped
over the automatic updating of base-system that occurs
after base-config reboot.
