Hi folks,
The typical Debian squeeze workstations that I configure only have LVM
partitions, including one for /boot. I figured out how to create a
preseeded netinstall image that does everything I want except create
an LVM partition for /boot. It seems all I can do is use "d-i

Hi,
I'm trying to install Debian Squeeze on a Cisco UCS blade (B series) with
storage attached as a boot LUN. When the installer gets to the stage where
it looks for storage, it complains that no disk drive was detected. From
what I can gather, it should be using the fnic driver, but that doesn't

Hello,
The installed size of the base system has increased a lot between
squeeze and wheezy. One of the reasons is that tasksel now needs the
perl package, which thus gets installed by default even for the base.
That hurts the whole concept of pe

Please, Could you update the Brazilian Portuguese Translation?
Attached you will find the file pt_BR.po. It is UTF-8 encoded and it
is tested with msgfmt and

Another workaround, was to select expert install, and modify command
line to include "vga=0".
At least that worked on ASUS EEE 701 model.
Default framebuffer resolution is too high for EEE 701. Installer does
not detect, if monitor/LCD is capable to display that.

Hopefully not doing something stupid here ...
Reassigning to hw-detect as suggested in #debian-boot, increasing
severity since it makes it quite hard to install Debian on a default
Hyper-V VM this way. You can work around the ATA driver,
