Rescue mode currently asks the user if she wants to mount a separate
/boot partition. The same should probably happen for /usr.
Preferably, this could be automatically detected (empty dirs and/or
entries in fstab in target?)

Hello dear systemd packages maintainers,
I think this bug report is worth a look as this basically resumes to
problems on system without packages of priority 'standard'. The
problems seems to be systemd-related bu I lack the experience to debug
this further
