device and it seems that the board is not booting up --both ethernet

If for whatever reason you want or need to build your own kernels, the
preferred way these days is "make bindeb-pkg". It is also a good idea
to use CONFIG_LOCALVERSION_AUTO=y, which marks the exact tree used to
build the kernel.

Probably. I just used /usr/bin/python and did not care much about
python 2 or 3 when writing it. As far as I know, there is not much
stopping it from working with python 3, but I have not done the porting.
