Kernel Panic requiring hard reset possibly having to do with lightdm-gtk-gre
* What exactly did you do (or not do)
This is still not fixed for Wheezy.
Changing the Bios setting from 1 MB to 8 MB as suggested by Miguel
Figueiredo did NOT fix this on a Dell Dimension 2400
Changing the setting from vga=788 to vga=normal seemed to do the trick.
This was a fresh install with Wheezy RC1 i386

I figured out where to typ the iwlist eth1 scan
It told me interface doesn't support scanning
