Hi folks,
As suggested on the mailing list I booted the Sarge
netinst CD of 20040104 with
linux DEBCONF_PRIORITY=medium vga=0x318
on the Lilo command line. After setting the language
and keyboard I got this error message popup

seeing the messages about (some) failed modprobes are the price
for DEBCONF_PRIORITY=medium. At this point they can be ignored
--- I suppose you do not have hw for aiv7xxx, and ide-disk is
already loaded by ide-probe (lsmod and console 3 or 4 show this).
Maybe this stuff should get
