With the Oct 23 2004 level of the installer (from jigdo-lite on Gluck )
I can no longer reproduce this error.

Yesterday exchanged hdb for another older one.
Result: installer hangs in "loading components debian installer" and on
retry in "detecting filesystems" both with linux26.
When booting default, all aok.

This morning after leaving the system off I booted and one disk is gone.
I don't think it is the disk but the mobo or something.
I don't think this problem is the installer's, but of course I don't
know the installer ;-)
hdb is now unavailable to me. I am running on hda8 with 2.6.7. It cannot
