package: debian-installer version: ??? severity: critical debian version: 3.1r3
Any installation attempt on a HP Compaq nx6325 notebook fails for a multitude of reasons: 1. starting with "linux" results in not-recognizing the keyboard, no interaction possible 2. starting with "linux noapic" results in recognizing the keyboard but not recognizing the single hard drive (which is S-ATA), therefore no partitioning etc. possible 3. starting with "linux26" results in recognizing the keyboard but not recognizing the single hard drive (which is S-ATA), therefore no partitioning etc. possible 4. starting with "linux26 noapic" also results in recognizing the keyboard but not recognizing the single hard drive (which is S-ATA), therefore no partitioning etc. possible I am using ubuntu 6.06.1 i386 on this very notebook to create this bug report, also SUSE 10.1 is installable and runs fine on this hardware (both need "noapic" for proper function.
