I believe the current cdebconf udeb is missing slang support because of the size problem reported in <url:http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=84230>. But if I read the report correctly, the real problem was with library reduction, and not the existance of the slang backend. Is this correct? If so, could someone reenable the slang backend? If not, would it be possible to build two cdebconf udebs, one with the text backend, and one with the slang backend?
