After installing d-i and rebooting, I found that /cdrom contained a
broken symlink:
cdrom/cdrom0 -> //cdrom0
No idea what that is for or what creates it.
/dev/cdrom is a link to /dev/cdrom/0, which will not w

Severity: normal
As far as I can tell, by grepping the whole d-i source tree, neither
debconf-copydb nor debconf-dumpdb are used by any part of d-i, so they
are only wasting space in this udeb.
The existing code to copy the cdebconf db to the installed system uses
cp.

Most users will want a journaling filesystem, and ext3 would be a good
choice for the default filesystem type, but the current default, ext2,
is not a very good choice. I suggest to s/2/3 in the Default field of
the partconf/create-filesystem template.

That sounds very promising.

At the moment, both kbd-chooser, lilo-installer and grub-installer
need to know if the installation is using a serial console. In
addition, there is code to detect this in rootskel
(/lib/debian-installer.d/S30term-linux) and set TERM_TYPE=serial in
this case. To avoid duplicate code, I suggest u

Hi!
In a few days I will be able to annonuce a ready-to-use version of the
debconf-based partitioner I am making. It uses libparted and hence I
need an internationalisation of the udeb-version of libparted. Some
of the functions of this library return strings in English. The
