As /proc is mounted by boot scripts now, partman was changed to not put it in fstab, but this broke grub-installer, which relied on "mount /proc" working.
I've fixed this in grub-installer. (That doesn't explain the 2011 reports of proc mounting problems, which well predate that change, but since grub-installer also explicitly mounts /proc at the start, I'll assume that also covers them.) -- see shy jo
