Re: Bug#954948: [d-i bullseye alpha2] Sinhala font missing
Quoting Holger Wansing (2020-03-27 11:23:46) > many thanks for the quick fix! You're quite welcome! Since the very purpose of fonts-noto is large coverage and usage in embedded devices (e.g. stripping kerning values), I suspect that it may be beneficial to use also for other locales. Please do tell if there is interest in that, and how I can help there. (I tried in the past on my own, but ran into issues with documented test routines for fonts being obsolete/broken - so I would need a bit of guidance to help) - Jonas -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist & Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ [x] quote me freely [ ] ask before reusing [ ] keep private signature.asc Description: signature

Bug#954948: [d-i bullseye alpha2] Sinhala font missing
Control: reassign -1 fonts-noto Holger Wansing wrote: > Package: debian-installer > Severity: grave > > > While testing the alpha2 netinst image I noticed that the graphical installer > has no fonts for Sinhala anymore, this was ok until alpha1. > > Screenshots attached. > According to ../trunk/installer/build/pkg-lists/gtk-common d-i relies on 'fonts-noto-hinted-udeb' for Sinhala fonts. Looking into that package, the current version for sid/bullseye is lacking NotoSansSinhala-Bold.ttf NotoSansSinhala-Regular.ttf which exist in buster version. Did that font files moved to another udeb? Re-assigning to fonts-noto. Holger -- Holger Wansing PGP-Fingerprint: 496A C6E8 1442 4B34 8508 3529 59F1 87CA 156E B076
