I need this to have a sure deadline for a last update to iso-codes (whose translations are used to build localechooser) which I need to coordinate with Tobias Toedter (the main maintainer of iso-codes who's not a DD and needs me, or Alastair, to upload it when ready). signature.asc Description: Digital signature

But there were no errors on build (except for mipsel), according to http://people.debian.org/~joeyh/d-i/build-logs.html Is this worked on? Yes, unfortunately there are problems syncing new images from the machine that builds new images to the server from where they can be downloaded. I had hoped it would be fixed this morning, but it's not. This is being worked on. Cheers, FJP pgpN13dNjzdeM.pgp Description: PGP signature

FINAL UPLOAD 22Oct End of string freeze; full freeze for udebs 23Oct Upload all udebs with translation updates or pending changes 25/26 Oct Most udebs should have migrated to testing When do you wish me to update localechooser (which may include de-activated languages)? The fix re-implementing /etc/environment has been successfully tested today and it works. Opening a gdm session on the installed system gives a localized environment. signature.asc Description: Digital signature

I'd suggest waiting until the end of the string freeze and then make final decision on which translations should be deactivated. Just as a general note for others: the deactivation is only for the official Etch release; the currently too incomplete/outdated translations will likely be activated again for post-Etch daily images after the release. pgpiDDtobccOO.pgp Description: PGP signature
