Not currently. ifupdown is the default, and NetworkManager is set up if 
installed (usually pulled by desktop environment dependencies). Starting 
with trixie, Netplan configuration is also supported if installed during 
the initial and may use either NetworkManager or systemd-networkd as 
backend.

If you use a DE, you might want to use NM but on a headless server it's 
up to you.


The debian-user mailing list might be better suited for this.
