Howdy,
Aurelien asked me about getting GRUB 2 working on GNU/kFreeBSD. There's
been much work in upstream to implement loading for kernel of FreeBSD, and
recently some polish in the installer, etc.
grub-mkconfig (update-grub's backend), however, still generates entries
based on the single /boot

Try something like this:
IMGSZ?= 20m
define mkfs.ufs1
fs=$$(mktemp -d) ; \
cp -a $(TREE)/* $${fs}/ ; \
tmp=$$(mktemp -d) ; \
makefs -t ffs -s ${IMGSZ} -o minfree=0 $${tmp}/ufs $${fs}/ ; \
mv $${tmp}/ufs

Please attach screenshots in ASCII. I mostly read my eMails either
via ssh or on an 80486DLC laptop from 1993 with not enough RAM for
XFree86®, so I cannot view any images.

The old unused email adress is misleading. All currently open bugs are
tagged using both users, see [1]. The majority of recent submissions are
by Aurelien and Cyril and me. After agreement, it remains to change wiki
pages [2], [3].
Do you agree with such switch ?
Sure, go ahead.

I marked the failing packages as
follows (as it *seems* to me, after a few seconds glance):
- ˙˙Needs porting.˙˙: Might work on GNU/kFreeBSD;
- ˙˙Needs porting?˙˙: Might be Linux-specific, or very hard to port.
- ˙˙Linux-specific?˙˙: Looks very much like Linux-only, but well˙˙

Moving to -bsd@, tiny explanation: I marked the failing packages as

(I always have to dig up an old bug to copy/paste the right stuff. :))

I tested makefs in kfreebsd d-i, and I have some problems.
I got makefs sources using
dget -u
http://www.freewrt.org/~tg/debs/dists/sid/wtf/pkgs/makefs/makefs_20090724-1.dsc
I built it using
dpkg-buildpackage -tc

Hi,
currently we use due to historical issues
User: glibc-bsd-de...@lists.alioth.debian.org
Usertags: kfreebsd
We use usertag "kfreebsd" as majority bugs apllies to both of
kfreebsd-i386 and kfreebsd-amd64 and porter set is the same for both.
I propose to change "User:" into "debian-bsd@list
