Dear friend,
I found your picture on one of the websites, can we talk to
each other? I might be coming to your place in few weeks.
This would be a great opportunity to meet each other.

Well, aren't they already part of linux,
There should be no real problem with this, except that you'll need native
versions of some of the NetBSD tools used during make (the NetBSD make,
for a start). Make doesn't trivially build on Linux, but if someone wants
to take a look at that it'd be a sensible thing to package.
debian/netbsd is using netbsd libc (debian/freebsd is using glibc).
although it will also be using some netbsd utilities, it is closer to #1
to #2 below. the important thing to remember is that this is *debian*,
intends to be is an official debian port and will be following debian

Indeed. It's probably best we fall in line with the other *BSD port,
especially the NetBSD ports on ia32 and alpha.
i strongly suggest following the ia32 port's lead.

Hello everyone,
I have a SparcServer 20 lying about doing nothing, so I fancied
installing the NetBSD port of Debian onto it. It appears that the sparc
port doesn't exist. After speaking to the guys on #debian-bsd they told
me the first thing that needs to get done is compiling dpkg. So I've got
I read about this project on slashdot today and was quite interested in
helping move it forward.
Is this list active, is any work currently done yet?
Can anyone point me to a project page or a FAQ?
Thanks and look forward to working with everyone! :)

Hi,
I would be very interested in trying out and
contributing to Debian-BSD. Where can I get this, and
how best can I contribute (Is there a FAQ?)
