When i use udev to rename my network interface to for instance 'lan'
iptraf does not show the interface anymore.
I suggest that the interface presented are configurable in a file (by
pattern), and before presentation are tested on their 'interface-ness'.
Much like the lvm2 device scanning. It has a filter expression, and a
cache file of matched devices.
Another option is ofcourse to look in the first column of /proc/net/dev.
