Package: anacron
Version: 2.3-11
Severity: important

Hello,

I've found a problem that /etc/cron.monthly is executed every day by anacron
when the machine boots up 10 minutes after cron.daily ran by anacron at
about 10:00 AM. /var/spool/anacron/cron.monthly is updated daily to the same
actual date as /var/spool/anacron/cron.daily. cron.weekly seems to work
correctly, cron and anacron both have their default configs
/etc/(ana)?crontab, also anacron -T exits cleanly.

# /etc/anacrontab: configuration file for anacron

# See anacron(8) and anacrontab(5) for details.

SHELL=/bin/sh
PATH=/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin

# These replace cron's entries
1       5       cron.daily       nice run-parts --report /etc/cron.daily
7       10      cron.weekly      nice run-parts --report /etc/cron.weekly
@monthly        15      cron.monthly nice run-parts --report
/etc/cron.monthly

ii anacron 2.3-11 a cron-like program that doesn't go by
time
ii cron 3.0pl1-86 management of regular background
processing

Best regards, René

Sorry for generating noise, anacron is ok, seems to be a problem with the
cmos/kernel date on this specific machine and ntpdate setting it to the
correct date while anacron runs.

Best regards, René
