Package: plasma-discover
Version: 5.8.5-3
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

The version of Discover provided in Stretch is too bugged and
immature, it is not suitable for a stable release. Please remove it or
provide a newer version.

There are basic functions that are bugged. For example, the search
function returns wrong and unrelated results too many times. If I
search for "office" or "writer" it doesn't show LibreOffice packages
or LibreOffice Writer at all. Furthermore in some cases it doesn't
even display the exact name of the packages in any way, for example
the package "file-roller" (Gnome's File Roller) is displayed as
"Archive manager".

Other issues: Discover doesn't display the dependencies of a package
and don't ask for confirmation when installing one; when removing an
application the confirmation dialog may display wrong info (search for
gimp, ask to remove it and the dialog will display xsane, bleachbit
and unrelated packages).

There are also issues with the interface but, simply, this application
is still immature and unreliable. It cannot be used for package
management.
