When using the sendfax function with perl 5.20, an error is returned:
"Fax::Hylafax::Client: Communication error: ALLO: Command not
implemented."
This is due to this change in Net::FTP :

It was fixed recently by

I tested the patch, and can confirm that the fix works also for Hylafax.
perl-modules is the package that needs to be fixed, but
libfax-hylafax-client-perl is broken and may also need a Conflicts:,
so I am filling the bug on libfax-hylafax-client-perl.
Feel free to reassign if needed.
Severity important because sendfax is an important functionality of
the package.

this is indeed a bug not in Fax::Hylafax::Client but in Net::FTP, which
was fixed prior to the release of version 3.00 of Net::FTP and a fixed
version has been shipped as part of the perl package since perl 5.21.5.
So I'm closing this bug as fixed in unstable and testing/stretch, but I
want to say I'm sorry that it hasn't been acted upon in time for the
jessie release..
