Package: bridge-utils
Version: 1.5-9
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

After updating my system recently I noticed that sysctl.conf is being
silently ignored. I am using the machine for KVM with libvirt and I have

net.bridge.bridge-nf-call-ip6tables = 0
net.bridge.bridge-nf-call-iptables = 0
net.bridge.bridge-nf-call-arptables = 0

On reboot, these are not applied. Restarting the systemd-sysctl service
works and applies the values above, so I'm assuming it is some kind of
race condition. Similar to what was seen here...

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=634736

In that case since the calls to systemd-sysctl were happening before the
bridge module had been inserted so were having no effect and the
defaults were being applied when it was inserted.

Thanks

-Ian

Hi!

I don't know why I didn't get this bug before, sorry.

The thing here is that bridge-utils doesn't have anything to do with this,
as it is not the one that sets the sysctl values, sorry.

Regards.
