Here is my bug report to moz.org, they kicked me back here with lame
excuses about them no longer taking 1.7.x bug reports...
If I set the cache to every time I view the page, Mozilla crashes when
I view a page the second time.

Sadly, lynx doesn't seem to support XHTML pages served as
application/xhtml+xml. Given the same exact pages served as
text/html, it does work, so this seems like it wouldn't be

offending package is actually lookup, which is
evidently called during edict's setup.
I can duplicate the bug by simply running lookup
at the command line.

forwarded this bug to Samba upstream as bug #3315. I adapted the patch
