I was playing around with the CMS Joomla! Version 1.0.12.
While clicking around in the admin panel the mysql server crashed.

I found I was unable to use cdrecord,
lsof revealed that hald-addon-storage had the device open.
I was unable to kill this process. kill -K 3353 had no effect.
