Probably your X server uses different set of paths to fonts than your
font server. Thus font server has more complete list of fonts.
Could you try to check which font location is used by X server and
xfs, and compare which fonts can be accessed by both method?

Could you please try 3.15-4 in your setup? There is a new option -m
for cutting of leading slashes. The docs say, however, it's just for
NFS4, but I'd try anyway.

This bug has been reported against an old (or very old) version of
netdiag. It has been tagged moreinfo without receiving more info.
Therefore I assume that you cannot reproduce it with the latest version
of netdiag too. Hence I close the bug report.
