It fixes bugs #484176 (new upstream version) and #436481 (vbladed option
management wrt the -m switch).

With grub 0.97-39 from unstable and grub-common from a grub2 source
(1.96+20080601-1) built with that patch installed on the system, kernels
now install and boot properly.
