The upstream issue http://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=13123 has been
marked resolved. There is a bug in fpc 2.2.2, which doesn't handle calls
with many parameters (in this case 9) to c libraries correctly. This
bug has been fixed in fpc 2.3.1.
