ago. I see GDB 8.0 uploaded to experimental last year in June; is it
possible to update it to 8.1 and upload it to unstable?

Yes, djvulibre-desktop is installed. After uninstalling this package,
evince can open these djvu files, but the djvu file icons (showing in
