It looks to me that this issue can be fixed by adding a new conf file
and some modification as described in

For the package, probably just some wording changes to the document.

Forgot to add that when logging in into my GNOME session, if my iPhone
is connected, I experience a long freeze too. I thought it was mtp or
gvfs-gphoto2, but it's probably usbmuxd there too.
