I've attached my own attempt at writing a service file, based off

Nice, without changing a line of code screengrab now need libglib2.0-dev
as build dependency.
Just for the record: I tried a 2to3 port in branch
https://salsa.debian.org/med-team/paleomix/tree/2to3
but this fails because lots of failed byte-string conversions.
