Read 3 year old bug, fiddled around with 'dlocate' and 'printf' and
came up with a shell function (one-liner, easy to copy, paste run):
dpigs_human_readable() { dpigs | while read size pname ; do
desc=$(dlocate -s $pname | grep 'Description: ' | sed 's/Description: //') ;
printf '%8sK
reopen 42 !
found 42 1.01
thanks
Sorry, the new example would be perfection, except for a leading ./,
which makes it fail (unless the present working directory happens to be
'/usr/bin':
% man dlocate | grep -n -m 1 libc6
45: ./dlocate -l

For the hurried, skip to the bottom few lines: 'Revised suggestion'.
In between, some user-oriented thoughts on 'realpath' which unfortunately
might miss various salient points.

Oh, shouldn't the link point to /dev/vbi1? I don't think /dev/vb1
exists on your system.
Checking:

is fine.

My system has a symlink for a BT878 TV PCI card. 'ls -l'
and 'readlink -f' show that symlink, but plain 'realpath' fails
and 'realpath -s' returns the symlink target name:
% ls -l /dev/vbidefault

Package: freevo
Version: 1.8.3-1

Found some typos in '/usr/share/man/man1/freevo.1.gz', see attached '.diff'.
Reason for a less obvious patch: at first glance the source code
seems OK, but the output omits frs:
% man freevo | grep setup
eevo setup
