- I couldn't find anything in there for days. I
seem to recall that there was an option in amarok to set the charset
of ID3v1 tags, but I can't find it now. Maybe it's more useful that you
see why it was removed, or that you talk with the taglib author to
include your patch.

changing seems to be file_charset. I've tried
setting that to various things like just utf-8, or
utf-8:iso-8859-1, but it doesn't seem to be changing anything.
I think file charset applies to text attachments, but not to the text
body itself, I think.
