Sorry for the lack of information. By using libxine1 from experimental (1.1.4-2), none of the tools based on xine (totem, [g]xine) can play any data. Totem ends up with: Totem could not play 'file:///home/amir/Desktop/movie.mpg'. or Totem could not play 'file:///home/amir/Desktop/music.mp3'.
