This bug is still present in libpoppler46:amd64 0.26.5-2+deb8u1 and libpoppler46:amd64 0.26.5-2+deb8u2

Package: kernel-image-2.6.8-2-k7 Version: 2.6.8-16 Severity: critical Under the 2.6.8 kernel my usb memory stick and my usb card reader are not working (I can't mount them). Not only this - if I plug them out the whole system crashes/freezes. Under 2.4.27 when I plug in the memory stick dmesg
