No, pqiv is a nice and powerful tool but it's not a replacement for qiv.

I fully agree with Michael that this is a severe bug as I have lost
many hours of editing myself. Unfortunately I don't see any progress
on this bug for almost 3 years. Let's try to change that! :-)
Last night I patched vidir to circumvent the problem of lost changes
and renamed it to vidir-safe

Hi,
is there any update on this bug? (It still exists with 1:1.1.9-3)
I'd really like to raise the severity to "important" or higher.

Are there any plans for a new backport?
Hm, actually I wonder whether the patch even made it into sid yet.
Does anyone know?

Wonderful!
When can we expect the Debian package to include this patch?
(especially the backported version would be greeeat)

Even in combination when connecting to a rsync server?
But then why is the bug report still open?

Hi, I just stumpled over this same bug. :-(
My backup disks were spilling because rsync never deleted files!
Unfortunately the patch provided by Serge doesn't work
when rsync connects to an rsync-server. In that case
the --delete option STILL doesn't work as expected.

Isn't that more than the normal characteristics of an mbox file?

It happens with just about all GTK+ programs, e.g. GIMP

So do I, since upgrading from cssh 2.18-1 to 3.18.1-2.
