It looks like a bug not lshw. If you build your own package using
apt-get source, checkinstall, the error disappears.

Sorry, I have mistake.
I made some test.
Problem is not with perl source. Problem is with some of files in utf8 codepage.
I can't at this moment say, what is difference between this files.
I attach two very simple scripts. They contain utf-8, but first of
them(clear_analog.sh) I can view in

When I work with php or shell, or C, or SQL all is good. I can view
code, download it or view diff's. But with perl view don't work(.pl
and .pm files).
In 0.1.7 all is ok. Bug fixed.
