I would very much appreciate Michael telling the reason why the init script was removed.
The response: >The removal of the SysV init script was not a mistake that needs to be >corrected. ...is not mentioning a reason other than your own judgement, so it comes off as autocratic. It would be extremely enlightening to know the reason for a deletion, especially when there are arguments against it. Why did you do it? And why isn't it a mistake, in your opinion?
