This is fixed in KDE SVN since 2006-12-08.
Please consider to include this fix in etch.

Regarding the problem with small fonts:
In SeaMonkey 1.1.1, the handling of the screen resolution has changed.
The default resolution is now 96 units, unless the OS reports a greater
value. If 'xdpyinfo' shows correct display dimensions, you can change
the preference 'layout.css.dpi' from '-1'
You might take into consideration that IceWeasel 2.0 is likely going
to be shipped with Etch. SeaMonkey/IceApe 1.1 shares more code with
that than 1.0.7 does. Security and other patches for IceWeasel might
more easily apply to the newer version of IceApe.
OTOH, IceDove is still at 1.5.
