Here is a patch for the binutils cvs that should solve all warnings and
errors.
In my opinion, it falls in the 'minor changes' case with respect to
copyright.

Just FYI, there is a fix upstream for this, and the latest Ubuntu has a
similar patch to upstream. I've also fixed / worked around a crash with
overlay video after switching VTs.
