Sorry, I copied the versions showing in the web page error message into
the bug title and didn't notice that they don't agree with the package
version?
The package was upgraded by aptitude. The aptitude log shows:
[UPGRADE] gallery2 2.2.6-1 - 2.3-1

After an 'aptitude upgrade' the next time I accessed gallery2 I was directed to
/gallery2/upgrade/index.php. At Step 0, the message said:
