I tried now directly using monitor in kvm and its command 'screendump
picture'
= worked well, correct picture was created as rawbits PPM image.
virsh screenshot testdomain picture2
= hangs forever...
Did you try taking a screeshot with kvm directly?

when i am trying to get screenshot using libvirt,
