The problematic line in 10_linux is line 84 for me under /etc, I applied
the diff, and it works:

Apparently when I remove ntp and install openntpd, then the problem is
solved, systemd doesn't start its own timesync demon.
Package: ntp
Version: 1:4.2.8p10+dfsg-6
I have a very default Buster installation, I've never messed with systemd
settings. Then I installed ntp. I noticed in ntp's systemd config that it
conflicts with systemd-timesyncd which makes perfect sense, these two
should never run together.
However, I

I have my root filesystem on ZFS. I'm using a ZFS pool's root dataset
(rpool) as opposed to a sub-dataset (eg. rpool/foo or rpool/foo/bar).
update-grub calls calls /etc/grub.d/10_linux which sets the root=ZFS=
parameter for grub/initrd. In
Hi,
I gave this another try. Did a purge, started everything from scratch.
Exact same error. Now I tried to run hostapd in foreground mode, here is
what I got with double debug output:
[...snip...]
Driver does not support configured HT capability [DELAYED-BA]
wlan0: Unable to setup interface.
Hi,
Any update on this? Do you still need more information? My issue
persists, I still have to use 0.7.3-4.

Jozsef

Hi Stefan,
I'm using hostapd as a daemon because my wlan is in a bridge, and this is the
only way that it used to work some time ago, it didn't work with ifupdown. See
http://bugs.debian.org/600589. Is it supported now? It would be nice to move
to a more supported solution.

Hi,
I have a HP LaserJet 1020 with the same symptoms. Blacklisting usblp does
solve the problem for me too, the firmware is downloaded successfully.
I did what you asked, changed cups loglevel to debug, restarted cups and
reproduced the problem. No new entries got added to cups error log
, and I get this:
b43-phy0: Loading firmware version 478.104 (2008-07-01 00:50:23)
My device works with both versions. Still, it would be nice if you could
provide the newest version. I'll be glad to provide my files upon request.
