To help in narrowing this down, I installed the version from the
experimental repo.
I got 2.99.16. This does not appear to show the bug, so I guess it's a
Debian packaging issue.

I have the wacom tablet connected via a USB switch. If I switch the

Do you have no sound at all or choppy sound like you said in [1]
I see this is marked as the only "important" bug in pipewire.
I, for one, have had no sound for the past 4 months. Not personally
critical as it's an unstable dev system, not main dev machine.
But I'm guessing this is being targeted as the new "sound system" in
Debian 12 . Is it being

Well I pretty much stopped using gnome-terminal (due to this bug) so
I've not been spotting changes.
The symptoms seem to be the same, I guess the root cause may be different.

Dear Maintainer,
I've just hit an "issue" WRT fetchmail, which I now relaise I hit about 10
years ago and didn't report
(shame on me) the "fix" is a simple text edit so I hope you'll consider it.
I was getting the message:
In the three years since raising this bug, it looks like I've removed
the VM in question. If I install another KVM it will probably be stretch
so not a valid comparison.
So I can’t see a sensible course other than closing it.

I am trying to use maildrop tacked onto the back of fetchmail(1) as in:

I suspect the reason CUPS was reporting these messages and failing (and
also testprnt was failing)
was lack of real memory. The print sever is running on a DreamPlug ,
without swap and I think it was
running out f real memory.
This causes all cloudprint jobs to fail (+ others): (.e.g. print test page)
1: lp /etc/hosts works
2: lp /rtmp/hosts.ps ( postscript version of file)
3: lp /rtmp/hosts.pdf ( pdf version of file)
all work
However the 'print test page of cups , fails. The log
