Applying this patch and rebuilding the package seems to have done the trick

But where should $pe come from?
I guess that the $pe variable should have been $lockfile.
In my case an old lockfile
load_resource: Module
'chan_sip' could not be loaded.
Please test/report, whether the packages located at
http://people.debian.org/~jmm/ fix the problem for you.
