responsible for activating volume groups
is scripts/local-top/lvm2
It activates the root and optionally the resume volume group only, which
means the usr volume stays inactive
and can't be mounted.
I fixed this with a quick patch, adding lvm vgchange -ay (patch attached)

Hi,
My system got upgraded to systemd so I tried to upgrade upower again.
Same deal, still doesnt work and
pkaction | grep upower
still shows nothing.

Hello,
Same bug affects KDE as well.
Reverting the upower to 0.9.23-2+b2 fixes the problem
Running version 4.13.1 of KDE.

After this the system becomes unstable and hard reset is the only option.
Blacklisting the e1000e driver solved the system unstability but leaves me with
no ethernet connection.
Please let me know if you need more information.

I've recently installed Lenny on an old HP NetServer E60 machine.
The installer worked perfectly, but after the reboot I got a kernel panic with
flashing keyboard lights.
A search lead me to bug 486168, which seems very similar (same
for the clarification.
Could you test the 686 kernel with the added kernel parameter
'maxcpus=1'?
Well I'll be... :)
I added maxcpus=1 and the 686 kernel loaded fine.
What can I do next?
Is there any chance to fix or work around this so that I can get
dual-cpu support?
Ilan.
