I'm affected by this bug for a long time.
According to upstream bug, it's looks like phonon-xine-backend for
Amarok is not supported anymore.
Last time I checked, gstreamer was even worse than xine.
So, if xine is not maintained anymore, I suggest to remove it from
Debian in order to prevent

Why did you unstalled libasound2-plugins? Well, but that has nothing
to do with your problem. The upstream patches must be applied to the
alsa

Well I just say that I get the following error message when trying to
use VLC while another app (amarok) is using audio (or 2 instances of VLC
running at the same time) :
