Package: fakechroot Version: 2.9 When popen (see the manual page popen(3)) is called inside a fake chroot, the shell used is /bin/sh rather than /path/to/root/bin/sh. This is on Arch Linux (May 2010), but looking at the source to fakechroot I see no reason why it isn't present on Debian as well.
The project I am working on only discovered this when moving from popen to execl, so I don't have a patch or anything, but I thought you should be aware of this bug.
