This bug now hits dselect in Testing. Is there an ETA for the
updated/fixed version?
Since this bug makes dselect unusuable, I think a severity upgrade is in
order.

Hi there,
The KDE 4.10 transition to testing is currently a bit confused.
I tried updating my testing box this morning, and apt wanted to uninstall most
of KDE. I tracked the problem down and nepomuk-core-data (src nepomuk-core)
breaks kde-runtime-data (4.8.80) (src kde-runtime). The

Okay, so I've found a workaround for my printing problem.
If enter the following:
lpadmin -p MY_PRINTER_NAME -o usb-no-reattach-default=true
and restart the printer, then printing seems to work properly.
So I guess the Lexmark E238 needs to be added to the printer quirks list in

Thanks for your bug, could you please tell me a few more details:
- from what koffice version are you updating from?
- what is the conflicting file?

Hi Ana,
I'm checking my logs, and the old koffice version was 1.6.8-3 which was the

Yesterdays update of sun-java6 in squeeze gave me a very similar error:
update-alternatives: error: alternative java.1.gz can't be slave of java: it
is a master alternative.
dpkg: error processing sun-java6-bin (--configure):
I'm seeing a very similar thing.
If I try to play a midi file on my audigy 2, my syslog fills up with
rtc: lost some interrupts at 1024Hz.
Also, I get errors about setting the rtc on bootup.
If I use a homebuilt kernel, and enable CONFIG_HPET_RTC_IRQ for the kernel,
things work just fine.
Hi there,
I've been having similar problems.
I got things to work by creating a file in /etc/pm/config.d
$ more /etc/pm/config.d/force
S2RAM_OPTS=-f
After I did this, suspend to RAM worked for me. Your options would be
different.
I found this in a man page for pm-utils.

Hi,
As you can see, root happily opens /dev/port, but normal user doesn't.
Doh.
And this is the intended behaviour. Only root can perform low-level I/O.

Hi there,
This bug is the same as xine-ui bug #303975
See

And yes, it is annoying.

I have a similar problem.
When I look at .xsession-errors, I see the following:
kfmclient: ERROR: Couldn't start konqueror from konqueror.desktop: KDEInit
could not launch 'kioexec'.
kioexec: Unknown option '--silent'.
kioexec: Use --help to get a list of available command line options.

Is there any progress with this bug?
I just installed the latest version in unstable after the kde etch transition
banished the old working version. I have both the xine and gstreamer parts
installed and neither work. Is a new upload forthcoming?

Just to note that this happens to me too, with the same workaround.
