I got exactly the same here.
I just installed the tracker package, ask it to index my home, and go
away for 2 hours.
Tracker was taking more than 1GB of memory, making my computer unusable.
Tracker is in version 0.6.6-2 on my debian.

I have the same bug here.
It seems that this bug is a gstreamer bug, as play doesn't work neither
and totem can't even see the CD. The same CD is correctly read by vlc.

again.
I also think it's the same bug as 402738. Will 0.10.11 go into etch ?
