they were removed in the first place.

Oops! Seems I filed a wishlist bug report for a feature that already existed!
I hadn't noticed until now that git-gui actually displays the name of the
current branch, specifically just under the menu bar. So you could close this
bug report, sorry for my recklessness :/

Just a small wishlist item. It would be nice if git-gui showed the name of the
current branch in the status bar. Most of the space of the status bar is
wasted anyway :D I believe it would be useful for people who work with many
branches
Why hasn't this bug been fixed yet? It's very simple, and there is a patch
available :)

I have the same problem here, seems like someone made a type in the magic
file, because it worked on early versions. Anyway, I'm sending this patch
against the magic file, it works correctly. Hope the maintainers will include
it in the distributed package!
This is the patch (in unified

I installed the testing/sid version of libc6 (they are the same one), the
problem is still the same. I didn't try it with the stable version! (Would be
too much of a fuss, and probably of no use anyway.)

Isn't this feature implemented? At least in my installation of aptitude
(testing as of 2008-11-10), the description has its own column... So
shouldn't somebody close this bug?
