Is anybody working on this or intending to work on this. if not it should be
changed to a RFP bug so that anyone interested knows that it's not currently
receiving any attention.

I'm interested in seeing some up to date Mercury packages in Debian.
Preferably with separate binary packages for the complier and each
supported grade.
How are you going with adoption of this package?
